Very pleasant staff, rooms area very nice, very comfortable & clean, short walk to main street & shops..
This is a gem of a place to stay, from the moment we booked in to speaking to the owners on the way out we were treated to good old fashioned service and local knowledge. On the weekend we stayed the temperature got down to -5 overnight or lower and we were warm and cozy in the room the bed was super comfy, the bathroom was great and it was nice to see coloured towels. I would not have any hesitation in staying again and we are planning a spring trip back.
One of the best motel's I have stayed in. Both Bruce and Marcia are excellent host and local knowledge is excellent. The room was clean and tidy with everything you need to enjoy and rest up. Very close to the town centre within walking distance to all the pubs and restaurants in town. I would stay here again. Extremely clean and comfortable. A piece of tranquillity and peacefulness in a small town. Locals are nice and helpful and if want a chat go to one of the local pubs or rsl club with awesome food and drinks.
Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay in the cool & pretty Oberon, at the Highlands Motel.The owners couldnt have been friendlier or more helpful & we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was very nice, looked almost new with comfortable bed, chairs, etc and a fantastic new modern bathroom. We were very impressed indeed. Short stroll to a delicious dinner at the Royal Hotel. Recommend everyone takes the very scenic drive to Oberon & a happy stay at the Highlands Motel, you wont be disappointed. Worth the drive from Central Queensland ! Thanks heaps.
Clean and comfortable hotel.The owners/staff friendly and easy to get on with.The highlight for me was the shower.Renovated bathroom with the best shower I have had in any hotel worldwide.Worth the stay just to have shower.
